Duplicate makes a new draft event with the settings of one you've already set up. Use it for a repeat client, a venue you work every month, or to move an event to new dates.
Duplicate an event
1. Open the event and click Duplicate. On a phone, open the event's menu (the three dots) and tap Duplicate Event.
2. In the Duplicate event box, change the Event name. PixoShare suggests the old name with "(Copy)" added, and guests see this name.
3. Under Schedule, pick when it Starts and Ends. The times are filled in from the original event.
4. Click Save as draft. The copy opens as a draft, so you can check it before anyone sees it (see "Check the copy, then publish" below).
Create & publish is the faster option once you know what the copy keeps. It doesn't show when the dates have already passed, or when all your active-event slots are in use; the box tells you which.
What the copy keeps
The station look: logo, background, colors, attract screen and orientation (station branding is Pro).
Sharing Methods, and your email and text settings.
Gallery templates for the guest pages and the Client Gallery.
Live Gallery, View gallery button and My Photos button (Pro).
Guest Data Collection and its consent form (Pro).
AI settings, including the effect and your spending limits. The copy uses AI credits the same way.
On Starter, Pro-only settings don't carry over.
What starts fresh
No photos or videos, no messages and no report numbers.
New links and QR codes. Send your client the copy's links, not the old ones.
Booth printing is off. If you print, click Edit and turn it on in the copy's Advanced step.
Client Gallery settings go back to the defaults: no password, and Download All on. Set a password again if you want one (passwords are Pro).
Show on my Gallery Hub (Pro) is off, there's no cover photo, and the TV slideshow (Pro) keeps its look but starts switched off with a new link.
Check the copy, then publish
Before you publish, check:
The Client Gallery card on the Sharing tab: the Password (the copy has none), Download All, and Show Originals and Show AI Transforms if the event uses AI.
Booth printing, if you print.
AI, if the copy uses an AI effect: check the effect and your spending limits in the AI step.
Then click Publish at the top of the event page, and Confirm Publish.
Move an event to new dates
An event's dates can't be changed after it's published. To move it:
Open it, click Duplicate, pick the new dates and click Save as draft. Check the copy (above).
If the original no longer needs to run, click Archive on it. That frees its active-event slot, so do it before you publish when all your slots are in use. Its galleries stay online. Don't archive an event that's still running or in use.
Publish the copy: click Publish, then Confirm Publish.
On the event day, sync the copy on your PC (Sync event), or choose it on an iPad using PixoShare Cloud.
Send your client and guests the copy's links. They're new.
Photos already uploaded to the original stay with the original.
Good to know
A draft's dates can still be changed with Edit.
