Gallery looks and templates

Written by PixoShare Support

Choose how your galleries and emails look: pick a ready-made look for each event, set your default, or design your own on Pro.

Pick a look for an event

Seven ready-made looks work on every plan, for both the guest photo page and the Client Gallery: Minimal, Branded, Classic, Garden, Evening, Party and Corporate. New events start with Minimal until you set your own default.

In the event wizard's Templates step, each card has Change template and Preview. To change them later, open the event, click Edit, and go to the Templates step.

Set your default

On the Templates page in the sidebar:

  • Client Gallery tab: open a template's ⋯ menu and click Set as Default. Any ready-made look can be your default, on every plan; your own templates can be the default on Pro. Events that follow your default (the wizard shows Your default) change with it, including galleries you've already sent. Use default puts an event back on your default.

The Templates page, Client Gallery tab: the Default badge on Minimal, and a look's menu open with Set as Default marked
  • Microsite tab: Set as Default is only for templates you made yourself (Pro), in the ⋯ menu under Your Templates. The Microsite default applies to new events; events you've already created keep their template.

Design your own (Pro)

  • From a ready-made look: click Customize. Change it in the editor, click Save As New, type a Template Name and click Create Template.

  • From scratch: click Create New Template, choose Microsite Template or Client Gallery Template, then a starting look under Choose a Look.

Your designs appear under Your Templates, with Edit and a ⋯ menu (Duplicate, Set as Default, Delete). Editing a template changes every event that uses it.

Email templates

Every plan uses the ready-made emails. Each event picks its guest email in the Templates step under Email template. The Email tab sorts them by type: Station Email, Gallery Email, Download Email and Report Email.

The Templates page, Email tab, with the type filter and a ready-made email's Customize button marked

On Pro, design your own in the drag-and-drop editor: click Customize on a ready-made email, or Create New Template → Email Template. Give it a Template Name, an Email Subject and a Template Type. Set as Default makes it the default for its type.

Good to know

  • If you delete a template that events use, they move to the default design, and PixoShare tells you how many.

  • The Email template card in the Templates step only shows while Email is on under Sharing Methods, on the Branding step.
