How guests get their photos: text, email, QR code and AirDrop

Written by PixoShare Support

Guests pick their photos at the sharing station, up to 50 at a time, and send them to themselves by Text, Email, AirDrop or QR Code, or tap Print when printing is on.

Choose the methods for each event

1. In the event wizard's Branding step, under Sharing Methods, switch Text, Email, AirDrop and QR Code on or off. All four start on, on every plan.

The Branding step: the Sharing Methods switches, and the buttons they show in the station preview, marked

2. In the Sharing step, set the email's From Name and From Email Address (Email tab), and pick a Message Template for texts (Text Message tab). A preview shows the text guests will get.

3. For printing, turn on Booth printing in the Advanced step (it starts off). See Printing: set up your printer, and print with more than one.

Text

The guest taps Text, types their number on the Text Me keypad (a fixed +1 and 10 digits) and taps send. Texts are delivered to US numbers only. They get one text with a link to their photos. The Standard text reads:

Your media is ready! View & download here: [link] Reply STOP to opt out. HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply.

Every text fits in one message: if your template adds a long event name, it's shortened, and the preview tells you. A short SMS Consent note under the keypad says that by sending, guests agree to get a text with links to their photos, and can reply STOP or HELP.

Email

The guest types their address in Email Me and taps send. They get an email from the name you set, with a button that opens their photos. Pro lets you design your own email template.

Consent before text and email (Pro)

Turn on Guest Data Collection in the Advanced step and choose a Consent Form Template. Guests then see your consent text each time they tap Text or Email: Yes, I agree continues, and No thanks stops and clears their selection. QR Code, AirDrop and Print don't ask.

QR code

The guest taps QR Code and scans the code with their phone camera to open their photos. The code shows for 60 seconds; the link keeps working for as long as the event's photos stay online. The page shows only the photos the guest selected, with no password, so anyone they send the link to can open it too.

AirDrop

The guest taps AirDrop and picks their iPhone in Apple's share sheet. AirDrop works with Apple devices only.

Phone not showing up? Ask the guest to turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, turn off Personal Hotspot, set AirDrop to Everyone for 10 Minutes in Control Center, and stand near the iPad. They tap Accept when the photos arrive, and follow any additional prompts on the device (Apple's AirDrop instructions).

What the guest's link opens

Text, email and QR code all open a page with the photos the guest selected. On an iPhone, Download opens the share sheet; Save Image puts the photo in Photos. The page can also show View gallery (the whole event, while your Live Gallery is on; see Live Gallery: let guests browse the whole event) and My Photos (Pro: everything sent to that guest at the event).
