Live Gallery: let guests browse the whole event

Written by PixoShare Support

Turn on the Live Gallery to give guests one link where they can browse and download every photo from your event.

It starts off for each new event. Anyone with the link can open it: there's no password and no sign-in.

Turn it on

  • On an existing event: open the event, go to the Sharing tab, and turn on Live Gallery in the Share Your Event card. It saves right away and confirms "Live Gallery is on".

The Sharing tab's Share Your Event card with Live Gallery on: the Live Gallery and View Gallery Button switches and the Live Gallery Link row marked (links hidden here)
  • When you create the event: in the wizard's Advanced step, under "Where guests and clients find the photos", turn on Live Gallery.

The wizard's Advanced step, with Live Gallery and View gallery button marked under Where guests and clients find the photos

Share the link or a QR code

The Live Gallery Link is under the switches on the Sharing tab, and in the Event Links card on the Overview tab. Next to it:

  • Copy Link copies it for a text, an email or your social media.

  • Open in a New Tab shows you the gallery as guests see it.

  • QR Code shows a code. Click Download under it to save the image for a table sign or a slide.

Your PC's event screen shows it too, as the Gallery QR code and Gallery URL.

The View Gallery Button

View Gallery Button (in the wizard: View gallery button) adds a View gallery button to the photo pages your guests receive, so they can go from their own photos to the whole event. It's on to start, and it only works while the Live Gallery is on.

What guests see in it

Every photo and video from the event, newest first, in your event's look (see Gallery looks and templates). A tap on a photo opens it, with a Download button. Guests reload the page to see the latest photos.

With an AI effect, your Guest gallery shows choice (the AI step; Guest Visibility on the event's AI tab) decides what appears: Originals Only, Transformed Only or Originals + Transformed. With Transformed Only, each photo appears once its AI version is ready, and videos don't show.

Turn it off later

Switch Live Gallery off on the Sharing tab (during the event, confirm with Turn Off). The link stops opening right away, and photos already sent keep working from guests' own links. Turn it back on later and the same link works again.

Good to know

  • Links can be forwarded, and downloaded copies can't be recalled. For a private party, a school or a company event, you can leave the Live Gallery off: guests still get their own photos, and the Client Gallery can have a password (Pro).

  • Guests at the sharing station can browse the event's photos there whether the Live Gallery is on or off.

  • The PC checks the switch when the event starts. If you change it during the event, stop and start the event on the PC to update its screen.

  • On a TV slideshow (Pro), the corner QR code opens the Live Gallery, and shows only while it's on. See Show photos on a TV at the venue.

  • To take a photo out of the gallery, delete it. See How long are galleries kept, and how to download or delete photos.
